Police Officer (Part Time) – Haskins Village, Ohio
The Village of Haskins, Ohio is hiring two (2) Part Time Patrol Officer’s. Candidates will be required to complete and submit a properly completed Employment Application prior to the deadline. Candidates will be interviewed as part of the selection process. NOTE: The Village of Haskins will be seeking a full time position prior to the end of the 2009 year which qualified part time staff will be considered.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency
Successful completion of Law Enforcement Training Program as prescribed by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
United States Citizen
At least age twenty-one (21) at time of appointment
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Position Summary:
Enforces local and state laws, directs traffic, assists with public events including crowd control, and provides citizens with information, transports/collects evidence, transports individuals and prisoners as needed, prepares and maintains daily work logs, reports, and classified records.
Communicates and works with other patrol officers, law enforcement agencies, medical, legal, school or village personnel and/or others as necessary. Maintains and increases knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, conferences, training seminars and in-service training sessions. Performs other duties as assigned.
